Smaggle masters the art of online tailoring with Heart My Closet.

Just a little bit of a pre-warning. I’m about to blow your mind. Obviously, we’ve all heard of Etsy, but who has heard of Heart My Closet? It’s this incredibly odd little shop with a selection of dresses inconsistently photographed on celebrities, models and mannequins which you can have made to your own measurements.

The selection is incredible with famous pieces available like the Galaxy Dress and a few outfits made famous by Ms Bradshaw.

I got way too excited by the prospect of a custom made dress and spent an extraordinary amount of time cruising the site to find the perfect one. I finally decided on the pencil dress with boning in an off-white colour. After purchase ($88 + $15 international shipping = freaking awesome) they sent me very comprehensive instructions on how to measure myself. They even had helpful diagrams for some of the more difficult measurements. Their service was so thorough that they even emailed me to check that my shoulder measurements were correct before making the dress. I thanked them for checking and assured them that yes, the disproportionate shoulder measurements were perfectly correct and that yes, I’m built like a football player. It was a fabulous customer service of them to check though.

The dress arrived within a week of me sending my measurements and all I can say is that it’s the most flattering, comfortable and sexy dress that I own. I’ve worn it at least once a week since it arrived. They also sent samples of all of their fabrics so I can order more and know exactly what colour it be. Cheeky monkeys. For the record, I have every intention of ordering more.

Has anyone else had something like this made before? I read all their feedback on Etsy and they have a flawless record. Do you know of any other online tailoring stores that have such a fabulous reputation?

Oh and the shoes I’m wearing are from Wittner (who now accept PayPal!) and they are on mega sale in a different colour combo! Wittner shoes feel like feet clouds. Seriously. Oh and I bought these ones too. They are equally as awesome.
