Smaggle receives a bunch of French goodness

Remember my article about being perfectly French? My goodies finally arrived! I’m oozing baguettes and berets.

Here’s the low down on the stores I bought from.

Metalicus – Perfect postage. Perfect service. Perfect product. Shipping was minimal; something around the $10 mark and they have a 14-day online return policy. Not that you’d ever return anything from Metalicus. My Alive Cowl Neck Tank Dress is perfection and my Stripes Ahoy Tube Skirt rocks.

Allsaints – Everything arrived wrapped in beautiful tissue paper and the swing tags were whimsically attached with antique safety pins. The pieces fit perfectly and everything I bought has been on regular rotation since the package arrived. This was my first experience buying from an unfamiliar vendor in a foreign country and it was a major success. Just a little note that their sizes are a little on the small side but I only bought jersey items so they stretch to fit my Australian booty. They don’t offer returns on international purchases but if you employ a no zips or buttons rule then everything stretch or jersey in your standard size should fit you. Shipping was a flat rate of $35 so it might be a good idea to get a few friends in on it and do a bulk order. It’s so worth it.

Witchery – Postage took a little longer than I expected. Most local retailers ship within a few days but I didn’t receive my Witchery order for almost a week and a half.  I buy Witchery clothing regularly and this skirt is a little smaller than other items of theirs that I own but it still fits well. The great news with Witchery is that you can return unwanted items to your nearest store within 14 days.

StrawberryNet – Received my package around two weeks after I ordered it but I sent an enquiry two days ago it arrived the very next day full of glitter wrapped goodies and a free Lancome eye shadow palette. Score. Also they have free shipping on all products except fragrances but maximum shipping is $10, which is worth it for the insane savings on top brand scents.

Funkis – They deserved their own post. Outstanding service and with $6.50 postage. I think I’m going to buy them a puppy.

I’d very happily order from any of these stores again. In fact I think Metalicus just released a new summer range… excuse me.
